Episode Four

Kaito quit his job as an elite businessman, and started working at Diamondhead. As usual, he would blame Hiromi for even the smallest things. One morning, while cleaning Hiromi's trousers, Makoto found a memo in his pocket. On it had the name of her mother, Izumi Keiko, with her address in Tokyo. She went over to Masaru and started blaming him for doing such an unnecessary thing. But he told her that he did it for Keiko. He thought that was the best thing to do.

After school, Makoto went over to Nagisa to talk about this with Haruko. But for some reason, Haruko agreed with Masaru. That was because she had a kid, but that kid was living with his father. The father of Haruko's son threw Haruko away because of work. He was too absorbed in his work that he didn't have any time for Haruko. But she didn't tell this to Makoto. Haruko told Makoto that Masaru was only thinking about her and Keiko. Haruko slapped Makoto for saying such a thing and Makoto ran out of Nagisa.

Masaru apologized to Makoto for doing such a thing but he told her to apologize to Haruko. Masaru told Makoto that Haruko had a son and was always waiting for a letter to come from that son. All along, Makoto thought that Haruko was waiting for a letter from her boyfriend.

On the other hand, Kaito's boss, Ozaki, comes to Diamondhead with his family. He tells Kaito that he wants to see what kind of place would make him suddenly quit his job. Ozaki let Kaito quit but it wasn't that easy. It was hard for Ozaki to let Kaito quit since he was a very good worker and one of the top elite businessmen in his department. When Ozaki spotted Hiromi, he said, "Kaito may have quit his job after looking at you and your lifestyle, totally throwing away everything." Hiromi was very shocked at this.

The day before his boss was to go back to Tokyo, Ozaki told Kaito that this was the last chance to return to the company. Kaito thought very deeply about this.

But the next day, he woke up very early in the morning. He told Hiromi to go buy the groceries. The list was very long and cost a lot of money. When his boss woke up, he served him a very nice breakfast and his boss automatically knew that this was Kaito's answer. Kaito assented with pride.

Ozaki told Masaru that he wanted to do some fishing before he left. Hiromi and Kaito also decided to fish in the same spot. Ozaki told Kaito that he was doing something very stupid and that he was throwing away everything. Ozaki said, "Hopefully, you will fail and regret this big mistake. When you fail, come to me and tell me that you made a mistake. That way, I won't have to regret anything(letting Kaito quit)."

But deep inside, Ozaki wanted Kaito to succeed and live a good life. He apologized to Hiromi for what he said to him the day before. But like always, Hiromi hadn't been bothered by that.

On the other hand, Masaru was mad at the two for spending so much money on groceries. Actually, it was both of their faults. It was Kaito's fault because he ordered Hiromi to buy so many groceries. It was Hiromi's fault because he bought more than what was on the list. Masaru forced the two to have a race and whoever lost would have to pay.
