Episode Ten

Since the summer vacation had ended, everyone had to help clean up Nagisa #2. Since guests were no longer coming, Masaru told Hiromi and Kaito that there were other ways to have fun. He decides to take the two to camp in the woods.

On the other hand, at school, Makoto is told by her teacher that there will be a meeting with the teacher to talk about college and that one of her parents has to come too. She doesn't know what to say. After school, she goes over to Nagisa and Haruko automatically knows that something is on Makoto's mind. Haruko tells her to call Keiko, Makoto's mother. She felt this was the best thing to do. "Keiko is your mother. It's common sense that she comes. Don't worry." Makoto doesn't have the courage to call yet. At night, she finally gets that courage and calls her mother.

Right after Makoto calls her mother, Haruko comes. Makoto tells them that Masaru, Hiromi, and Kaito went camping. Haruko told Makoto that this was a good opportunity for two girls to be together and talk. They call over Hazuki to join in and at night, Haruko tells ghost stories to the two.

Masaru tells about his life when he was young to Hiromi and Kaito. He tells them that he has lived his life how he wanted to live it. "Simple is best" is the statement he used to describe his life. At night, when they thought Masaru was asleep, Hiromi told Kaito that he thought Masaru was brave and cool when talking about his lifestyle. He wanted to live like Masaru did. Masaru heard this from inside the tent.

The next day, Keiko appears in front of Makoto's school. Makoto tells her mother that she wants to go to a university near Diamondhead and she thought that her mother would disagree. But her mother said, "It's your life. Even if I tell you to do something else, you wouldn't listen, right?" and Makoto is relieved.

When the three arrive back from camp, they are surprised to see Keiko there also. Makoto gets mad at them for leaving so suddenly without any notice.

When Masaru goes outside to fish for dinner, Makoto has a little talk with her mother. Makoto asks her, "Why did you decide to leave Diamondhead?" and her mother replied, "I didn't want to become like him(Masaru)". Hiromi and Kaito are shocked at this statement. But Keiko then says, "I doubt he wanted to build this resort in the first place." Hiromi fires back. He says, "I don't agree with you. I think Masaru's lifestyle is really nice and I think everyone would want to live like he does." Keiko replies ,"Please don't take me wrong. It's just that I thought differently about it." Then Masaru comes back with a big fish in his hands.

At night, Masaru sees Kaito and Hiromi talking outside by the ocean and brings them beers and sits down by them. Hiromi and Kaito talk about Masaru's lifestyle and how they wish they could be like him. Hiromi tells Kaito that he plans to stay here a little longer and Kaito says the same thing.

But them Masaru tells them, "This is my ocean. Your oceans are somewhere else." Hiromi and Kaito think about this statement while back in their room.
